Moving out! Kim Kardashian and Kanye West 'are finally leaving Kris Jenner's mansion to settle into their own home up the street'

It's been a long time coming for Kim Kardashian and husband Kanye West.

And as much as the 34-year-old reality star has loved living at her momager Kris Jenner's house for the last two years, she and her 37-year-old rapper spouse are finally getting ready to move into their own place, according to Us Weekly.

The couple, who married in May, and their one-year-old daughter North will be taking their things to their new $20m home, located in the same Hidden Hills gated neighborhood as Kris, in late January.

'Kim can't wait to get into their new home,' a source told the publication.

The source added, 'Living with Kris, her baby and husband wasn't the most ideal, but this will be their forever home. They can't wait for friends to stay with them!'

There will be no shortage of space when Kimye's friends and family decide to sleepover as UsWeekly also reported that the couple 'snagged the property next door for $6 million' as well.

In the town of Yiwu- almost 300 kilometers out of Shanghai- 60% of the world's Christmas decorations are made by laborers in 600 factories and shipped around the globe.

Photographer Toby Smith and Design studio Unknown Fields Division have had an insight into the Christmas village while tracking the supply chain of the world's consumer products across the South China sea.

The group documents the production line behind your santa hats and ornaments. “Although the conditions are rough, the people appear 'content' in their work environment,” Smith says.

Tim Maughan, a writer for the BBC who traveled to the town with the Unknown Fields Division team and Smith, described Yiwu as his "worst Christmas nightmare."

Maughan spoke about 12-hour shifts, extreme heat and hard labor in a maze of Christmas baubles in this manufacturing hub.

Yiwu is where the elves don't get Christmas off.

So during these holidays just think about how much you are really commemorating the birth of Jesus, when you contribute to slave labor by purchasing such products. Opt for locally made ornaments from charity stores instead.

Maybe an employee dropped it off anonymously in the company suggestion box a few weeks ago. Maybe one of the new bright-eyed employees stopped you one morning while you were on your way to get coffee. Or maybe Janeen from Accounting asked about it.

For whatever reason, you have continuing education for your employees on the brain. And you cannot stop thinking about it.

On one hand, you think it is a great idea. It can boost the company’s internal intelligence level while increasing company morale and encouraging employees to stick around. On the other hand, you think it is expensive and will cut in to productivity during the workday.

Baloney! Offering continuing education to your employees is the best choice you could make for you, your company, you employees and your customers. Just think about it: you could offer a customer service training to all of your staff who have direct contact with customers. The staff learns important lessons and techniques for amazing customer service and in turn, your clients are happy. That means they will be more likely to do repeat business with you and your company makes more money.

Then, you look better in the eyes of YOUR boss. And who does not want that?

Or, all of your IT staff goes through a continuing education course on the importance of the new software the company is using. The IT staff learns the ropes of the software and even learns a few little tricks to keep the software running effectively and smoothly. In turn, your products go out on time and customers are happy. Again, that means they will be more likely to do repeat business with you and your company makes more money.

And again, you look better in the eyes of YOUR boss. So tell me again why you think continuing education is a bad thing?

Also, it boosts company morale because it shows your employees that you care about their minds and want to help make them in to better employees. So actually, the return goes both ways. You have a more educated staff and they have the greater self-confidence and intelligence needed to create a dynamic work environment.

You could also look in to creating a program where employees can choose to take a class of their own choosing each year.
That way they will be more loyal to your company because they feel like you have a vested interested in them and their well-being. And they are happier.

So, get your coffee, go back to your desk and create a winning plan for continuing education at your company. You will look good, your employees will feel good, your customers will be happy and your boss will be impressed. You company will flourish and sales will continue to increase by the thousands (or maybe even millions!) Everyone is happy and you get the new corner office. You are now officially the company idealist, sales savior, favorite employee and the boss of the year!

Find Artifacts in Your Home Town!

If you are anything like me, you probably think your home town is the most boring place on the planet Earth, especially if it is a small town. But it is still probably boring if you live in a big city because there is a limit on what you can do as a child growing up.

However, there is a way for kids to find something fun to do with their friends that does not involve getting into trouble with the law or drugs. This game is sort of like a scavenger hunt and will appeal to all of the aspiring Indiana Jones wannabes of the world. This game does not really have a name, but entails finding artifacts all over your home town or neighborhood. Now, these do not really have to be artifacts, but can be anything you consider old and worthy of mention as a unique item.

To play, approach it like a scavenger hunt. Have you child get a group of friends together and decide on the rules. For instance, each child must find an interesting old rock, a piece of petrified wood and some really old pop bottles or cans.

The options are limitless because it depends on what you, your child and his group of friends deems to be worthy of the term artifacts. Also, your child might consider something to be an artifact that is really only a couple of years old. But to him, it is ancient.

Your child and his friends can then use their imaginations and create their very own treasure hunt and archeological expedition with just a few things. It is the best way to get your kids and their friends outside to enjoy the weather and truly be a kid. The kids get to flex their creativity and you get to rest easy knowing they are participating in a wholesome activity that helps them think strategically and quickly.

Once your child and his group of friends have gathered their artifacts, have them meet to show off their wares. You never know, one of the children may have found something that will spark off a conversation about the history of your home town, history of the United States, the history of anything.

The game of finding artifacts is also one that can be played by adults as a twist on the traditional notion of scavenger hunting. There are only so many restaurant straws and ketchup packets you can collect in these sorts of games. This gives you an opportunity to go back to your childhood and find the joy in finding “artifacts.”

So, let your kids be kids and let them scavenge for artifacts. Then you can also be a kid again with your very own version of the game. It is fun, it is free and it can turn out to be a great educational opportunity for your child. No video game or sophisticated computer toy or cell phone can boast the same educational benefits that this game can have.

AOL Eyes Merger With Yahoo [REPORT]

Reports have surfaced that AOL and Yahoo are once again discussing combining the two languishing Internet companies. 

According to Bloomberg, AOL CEO Tim Armstrong is discussing the possibility with Yahoo advisers. This development follows the firing of Yahoo CEO Carol Bartz earlier this week. 

However, CNBC has since reported that a "source close to Yahoo says no interest in a deal with AOL," so this rumor may be nothing but wishful thinking on AOL's part. 

This isn't the first time AOL and Yahoo have been linked. Yahoo was said to be considering a deal with AOL following its rejection of Microsoft's unsolicited buyout offer in 2008. Last year, rumors again surfaced, focusing on a combination that would see AOL split its content and dialup subscription business (yes, it still exists), and merging the former with Yahoo.

 

While no deal has come to fruition, both companies have continued to face their share of struggles and seen their valuations shrink. Yahoo's now worth less than half of what Microsoft offered to acquire the company, and AOL has been on a similar trajectory since being spun off from Time Warner as an independent company.

And while AOL finds itself in the midst of integrating The Huffington Post and dealing with fallout surrounding another acquisition, Yahoo is currently being run by committee as it looks to hire Bartz's replacement.

In other words, the conditions at both companies seem far from perfect when it comes to executing what would be a complicated merger. But given the desperate situation both are in, perhaps it's finally time to see if two is better than one.

Apple’s Patent War With Samsung Moves to Japan

After patent infringement lawsuits in Australia, South Korea and Germany, Apple has now sued Samsung in Japan on similar grounds. It accuses Samsung of violating Apple's iPhone and iPad-related patents with its Samsung Galaxy series of smartphones and tablets. 

Apple is seeking the suspension of sales of Galaxy S and Galaxy S II smartphones as well as Samsung's tablet, the Galaxy Tab 7, in Japan. Based on its success in Europe and Australia, Apple is hopeful the judge will once again side with Apple. 

In addition to the sales ban, Apple is also seeking 100 million yen ($1.3 million) in damages. According to Kyodo news agency, the first hearing was on Wednesday, but a spokesperson for the Tokyo District Court declined to comment on the case.

Google’s South Korea Office Raided

The Korean Fair Trade Commission raided Google's office in Seoul over concerns that the search engine giant was restricting access to its Android operating system, according to multiple reports.

The raid, which took place on Tuesday, concerned accusations by NHN and Daum Communications, two portal operators in South Korea, that Google was limiting their access to smartphones using Android. The two companies claim Google is preventing them from preloading their search portals on the smartphones, giving Google a competitive advantage.

Of course, Google's major motivation to spread the Android OS is to provide more reach to its advertising platform. Google doesn't make any licensing fees from Android.
Google's South Korea office has been raided before. In August 2010, South Korean police raided the office over allegations that Google had illegally collected and stored personal data from wireless customers.

What happens is that these emails are part of phishing schemes. Phishing generally means that someone sends you fake or bogus emails with bad links in them. These links invite you to click on their bogus sites (i.e. not government sites at all) and submit some of your personal (confidential) information: maybe your complete name, social security number, etc. Some emails even have spyware attachments on them.

Identity thieves, or thieves who focus on identity theft issues, send out thousands of fake emails almost on a regular basis any more, saying they’re representing government entities. So heads up if you receive emails saying they’re from the Justice Department, Federal Trade Commission, Internal Revenue Service or other government agency or department. Spyware is computer software that is installed stealthily on a personal computer to intercept or take partial control over the user's interaction with the computer, without the user's knowledge or consent.

These emails may be trying to trick you.
One government department alone, the Treasury Department, reported* receiving over 23,000 complaints about IRS-related phishing schemes since November 2005. Most involve hoax emails telling recipients that they have a pending tax refund and are under investigation.
Do not click on links inside emails from government agencies.

Government agencies rarely communicate via email, and if they do, it’s in response to something you initiated most often. They communicate via postal mail.
Windows posts updates regularly, especially security patches. Make sure you download these or at least check monthly for updates. Mark your Outlook or other calendar and check regularly. So arm yourself: your computer and email for identity theft protection. Better
safe then sorry!
